U Empower of Maryland meets the needs of a crisis by providing clothing, food, shelter, and resources, but also strives to provide a hand up by supporting existing programs, developing empowerment programs, and educating communities.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone that came together over Thanksgiving week with donations to keep this family from sleeping in their car and give them a room at The Village Inn. Thank you to those that provided gift cards for the family and Hope for All for providing coats. We had the privilage to work with the dad and son the night before Thanksgiving at our monthly Franciscan Center dinner. Cafe Mezzanotte sent them home with a big Thanksgiving meal. If you need construction or drywall work please keep the dad in mind. We can put you in contact with the family as they get back on their feet.
